Education and Experience
David Esh has four degrees (BS - Physics; BS - Nuclear Engineering; MS - Nuclear Engineering/Geoscience/Civil Engineering; PhD Environmental Engineering) and thirty years of experience developing and reviewing models on some of the most complex problems. He has worked on and helped solve numerous large scientific/engineering problems. He enjoys problems with limited data and moderate to high uncertainty. Probabilistic simulation is his specialty. Developing methods for model verification and validation for complex problems has been a focus of David’s career. David had a long career as a nuclear regulator (retired from NRC in 2025 after 26 years) and part-time consultant. He is now available as a full-time consultant on nuclear and non-nuclear projects. His business is located in Maryland (US) and is in good standing (W15909559).
Personal Information
David is married with a wife, two daughters, and two dogs. In his free time he likes fly fishing, lifting weights, playing slow pitch softball, reading, collecting vintage toys and 8-bit computers, and spending time with his family. He recently became a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and gets great satisfaction in helping those in need.
